Pentagon Expanding Its Domestic Surveillance Activity

An article in the Washington Post talks about the Pentagon looking to expand the "communication" between themselves and other agencies (FBI, CIA, etc). This really worries me.
I understand that sharing of information make their job easier. But where's the accountability? I quite frankly don't trust this sort of collaboration. The "Patriot" act was and is a huge mistake, and this is just one more step down the road to a totalitarian society.
