"Our" president caught in a lie

I can't not comment on this, given the other posts that I've made on the subject.

The folks at ThinkProgress.org have put up a video of a speech President Bush made in April 2004, in which he categorically states that wiretaps need court approval. After he had authorized wiretaps without such approval. Thanks to Alan for pointing this out.

I am absolutely dumbfounded that people can still have any sense of trust in this administration. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he run on a ticket of accountability? Tell me where the accountability is here? There seems to be an excuse for everything.

At this point, I don't see how anyone can take anything at face value. I'm seriously concerned about the way things are heading in Iran.

I just have to roll my eyes every time he speaks......

If he were Pat Robertson, I would roll my eyes.

He's the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful millitary machine on the planet. I'm very worried about the damange that he can do.

The spin they're putting on it is that it only applies to wiretaps involving the Patriot Act.

When I was a kid, my mommy told me that leaving out parts of the truth is a lie.

I really don't get how anyone trusts him, or anyone else in that administration.

And I agree. I roll my eyes every time he speaks...but I'm also afraid of the damage he can do and has done already.

One thing I wish I could understand is why, with all the information, with all of the obvious things he and his admin people have said and done, do people continue to support him? That eludes me.
