Exciting news!

I am very excited. I just got an offer letter for a new job. It will mean
- More money
- Paid vacation
- Fully paid heath/disability insurance
And, most important of all, I'll be working from home! That's two hours of commuting saved per day. Not to mention gas, etc. Plus I can set my own schedule, so I can take care of little things during the day that I could never do before.
I start the new job April 17th

yippee!!!! Not only paid vacation, but paid holidays and sick days too!
And working at home ... that means that now Dwayne can meet the repairmen!

Dwayne, that's tremendous news! Cutting off commute time is always a good thing, and working at home is great. Congrats!

I haven't signed all the forms yet, so I don't know how much I'm allowed to say who the client will be. But I'll be doing programming work for a consulting company based near DC. It's not really much different from what I've been doing (programming in one of the big commercial content management systems), but the fringe benefits just can't be beat!
